Nikki Haley is writing a book about her time in the Trump administration

The book does not yet have a title, but in it, Haley "will talk candidly about her tenure as UN Ambassador and the consequential actions, decisions, confrontations, and behind-the-scenes negotiations that shaped national and world events," according to a statement from St. Martin's Press.
It will also describe personal experiences that "shaped Haley's actions as governor and ambassador, as well as the challenges she and all women face when they assume roles traditionally occupied by men," the press release said.
"I was blessed to serve during some momentous times as Governor of South Carolina and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. There were tragedies and triumphs, but through it all my love for America has only grown. My hope with this book is to give people a unique window into recent history and inspire us toward a better future," Haley said in a statement.
Trump's UN Ambassador Nikki Haley resigns
President Donald Trump caught many senior administration officials off guard when he announced Haley's resignation in October, sources told CNN.
But despite questions about the timing of her departure, it seems Haley left her post on good terms with the President.
After announcing her resignation, Trump praised Haley as a "fantastic person" who has "done an incredible job" and said he would gladly welcome her back into his administration down the line.
"She's done a fantastic job and we've done a fantastic job together. We've solved a lot of problems and we're in the process of solving a lot of problems," Trump said.
Haley called serving as UN ambassador "an honor of a lifetime," but added that it was time for her to depart the administration.
"There's no personal reason," she said, explaining her rationale for departing. "It's very important for government officials to understand when it's time to step aside."
But a source familiar with the issue previously told CNN that financial considerations did come into play for Haley, something she alluded to in her resignation letter, a copy of which was obtained by CNN.
With one child in college and another heading there soon, Haley felt like she needs to make some money, the source said.
