• The Pope travels to Eastern Europe. Francis is due to spend three days in Bulgaria, then stop over in North Macedonia. His visit to Catholic-minority nations aims to bridge a chasm with the Orthodox world and support aid for migrants and refugees.
• Sri Lankans miss Mass again. Catholic churches will be quiet for a second-straight week following the Easter massacre as foreign intelligence reportedly warns of more threats. This comes a day ahead of when schools in the island nation are due to reopen and nine suspects in the attacks are due in court.
• The Daytime Emmy Awards honor TV's best. Whether it's morning news, soaps or talk shows, the stars will shine in this 46th annual event. You can stream the ceremony, hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood, at 8 ET at these sites.
• Michael Cohen reports to prison. President Donald Trump's one-time fixer is expected at one of "America's cushiest prisons," in upstate New York, to begin serving three years for lying to Congress and other crimes.
• Tiger Woods gets the Medal of Freedom. The legendary golfer will be at the White House to receive the nation's highest civilian honor during an invitation-only ceremony.
• R. Kelly asks to leave the United States. The singer facing 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse is due back in a Chicago courtroom. His request to travel abroad to work is still up in the air, a matter that he claims affects his child support case. Kelly has pleaded not guilty.
• China-US trade talks could wrap. Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou is due before a Canadian judge for the start of what's expected to be a tense extradition process related to US fraud charges. At the same time, a top Chinese official is expected in Washington for what could be the last round of talks in a damaging trade war.
• Jussie Smollett's case file may be unsealed. A judge is set to consider whether to unseal records related to dropped charges against the actor, who'd been accused of staging a hate crime in Chicago. A day later, the parties are due to argue over the appointment of a special prosecutor to review how the state's attorney's office handled the case.
• James Comey stars in a CNN town hall. Exactly two years after Trump fired him, the ex-FBI chief will take questions in Washington. The event, moderated by Anderson Cooper, airs at 8 p.m. ET, only on CNN.
• 'Tolkien' magic comes to life. The story behind the author of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit" hits the big screen, against the wishes of his family. It's rated PG-13.
• Pokémon gets real. The "Detective Pikachu" movie also opens, marking the first foray into live action for the wildly popular Japanese gaming franchise. It's rated PG.
• Rod Rosenstein leaves Justice. It's the last day of work for the deputy attorney general who appointed special counsel Robert Mueller and often found himself the target of the President. He resigned.
